We were impressed with the versatility of this guitar amplifier, the range of effects both diverse and well-implemented. A key factor for any musician is the quality of sounds they are able to produce, and this amp certainly doesn’t disappoint in this regard.

The independent effect loops on each channel are a nice touch, offering good versatility and breadth of sound. The factor of versatility is, in fact, one of the main selling points for this amp, with the range of FX available opening the door to various genres of music, making this amp feel at home on any stage. The inclusion of a headphone jack makes this a great choice for practicing with even when having to keep the noise down, and the auxiliary input allows for engaging practice and backing track options.

In particular, the Blackface Clean channel provides a pleasing driven bluesy sound, but this doesn’t eclipse the other features of the amp or prevent it from performing well in a modeling capacity.

The Champion 100 serves well as both a practice and performance amp, and we have no hesitation in recommending this to players across the board.
