Guitar Information

The Yamaha C40 classical guitar is by far one of the most popular and well trusted classical guitars in the UK. With a well-designed and contorted neck for comfort, the neck allows guitarists to make positions without pulling awkward and uncomfortable shapes to get the right sounds. Yamaha designed guitars since 1966 and is a well-known brand that makes high-quality instruments.

The body is a combination of rosewood, meranti, nato, and spruce which creates a balanced sound meaning musicians can reach the slick high notes and the booming low notes they need to make. Seasoned guitarits will often speak of the Yamaha Brand for its outstanding quality and its recognisable sound, but not much about the look. This one reunites the Yamaha quality, the sound and a beautiful classical design. You can choose between two different designs : a natural wooden design and a glossy black look. Surprisingly (or not), the natural look doesn’t look cheap (as most affordable guitars do) and the black design really stands out.

The tuning of the nylon strings is simple but effective as tuning heads are standard Yamaha heads and fret positioning is extremely accurate compared to most. It usually arrives already tuned, and we know that it can be quite frustating for a beginner to tune your guitar for the first time, or worse : adjusting the height of strings… The Yamaha C40 classical guitar was also recognized as the ‘best classical instrument’ in 2011 at the Classic FM Music Awards.
